TilleyTalksMotorsport have been busy over the past few weeks talking to a few drivers. We will now be writing for Geri Nicosia in the Ginetta Junior Championship, Chris Brown in the Cannon Motorspares Tin Tops Championship, Alex Jones in the Formula Vee Championship, Jonathan Atkinson in the Scottish BMW Compact Cup and the one and only Lucas Orrock in the Volkswagen Racing Cup.
A bit about Geri
Geri is a 16 year old boy from Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire. He is currently the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Champion! As a reward for winning the championship, Geri’s prize was to be entered into the Ginetta Junior Winter Series, which he got on the podium in. He has been involved in motorsport since he was 8 years old. For 2015 Geri is competing in the Ginetta Junior Championship.
A bit about Chris
Chris is a 23 year old male racing driver from Ashford in Kent. He currently races a Fiesta XR2 in the Cannons Motorspares Tin Tops which race in the south of England. The championship is full of close racing that entertains spectators every time they come out to race. Chris has not been racing that long but he’s developing really well and makes improvements every time he goes out on track.
A bit about Alex
Alex is a 22 year old boy from Radlett in Hertfordshire. He first made his debut in Formula Vees in 2013 at Brands Hatch. He made his kart debut in 2012 in the CSMA North London Karting Region Championship. He has been receiving mentoring from last year’s Ginetta GT4 Supercup champion Charlie Robertson, which has proven to be working as Alex finished the highest he ever has in his time in Formula Vee earlier this year.
A bit about Jonathan
Jonathan is a 26 year old racing driver from Aberdeen in Scotland. He races in the Scottish BMW Compact Cup. Jonathan is improving each time he goes out in the car. At the last test session he took part in he set his new personal best lap time at Knockhill which was 1:04.8. He currently lies 18th in the overall championship standings but 6th in the newcomer’s championship.
A bit about Lucas
Lucas is a 25 year old racing driver competing in the Volkswagen Racing Cup for a second year. He made his debut in car racing in 2014 in the VW Racing Cup. On his debut Lucas only managed to get round half a lap of the Oulton Park circuit before he was forced to pull the car off track due to a mechanical failure. Lucas has also been going abroad racing in endurance races with KPM racing, who also run him in the VW Racing Cup.
Keep your eyes peeled on here to find their recent race reports and any news from these amazing guys.
