On the 26th and 27th of September Jordan Stilp debuted in the Ginetta GT4 Supercup at the penultimate round of the championship at Silverstone. Stilp returned to the support paddock of the BTCC but this time with Rob Boston Racing to compete in the GT4 Supercup. Jordan went out on Saturday and managed to qualify in fifth place for race one, this was only Jordan’s third day out in the car. Nobody could predict how his weekend was going to turn out.
Race one came round and Stilp lined up fifth on the grid, he got a slow start but managed to bounce back and climb back within the top five early in the race. He had a really good battle with ex touring car driver Ollie Jackson and managed to stay in front of him. When the chequered flag came out Stilp took fourth in race one, just narrowly missing out on a podium.

Race two saw Jordan line up fourth on the grid alongside former champion Carl Breeze. Jordan got a good start, during the race he was chasing championship leader Tom Oliphant, they had a competitive battle going on and Jordan soon managed to pass to get into second place. When the chequered flag came out and Jordan took second. He was absolutely elated to be getting on the podium in just his second race in the rear wheel drive G55.
Jordan felt that he should have made the move from the Clio’s to the Ginetta GT4 Supercup a long time ago. He has grown up in rear wheel drive, he hopes to return to the grid next year to compete for a full season. He is currently unsure whether he will be on the grid at Brands Hatch as he wants to focus on securing his budget for 2016. Jordan adapted really quickly to the car and the different style of racing that occurs in sports car racing. He still feels that he needs to get his head around the aero and the power within the car, in terms of getting the best out of his tyres and maintaining them during qualifying and races. Jordan is looking to continue competing in the Ginetta GT4 Supercup in 2016, especially after his extremely successful debut weekend.
